Tim, the owner and jeweler, has been in the jewelry industry since the age of 14, bringing decades of experience and a passion for helping customers celebrate life's special moments.
We offer jewelry and watch repairs, including ring sizing, soldering, watch batteries, crystal and movement replacements, pearl stringing, and custom jewelry design. Whether you're restoring a treasured heirloom or creating something completely unique, we're here to help.

We Buy Scrap Gold
We purchase gold as scrap only, meaning we buy the gold itself—not any diamonds or gemstones that may be set in the jewelry. If your item contains stones, we will remove them and give them back to you.
Gold Coins & Bars
We buy and sell gold coins and bars based on the current gold market price, using Kitco.com as our pricing reference (note: it shows market for 24k).
A $78 government fee applies to each transaction, deducted when purchasing from customers and added when selling.
Availability varies daily.

Jewelry Appraisals
Protect your treasured jewelry with a professional appraisal from Cumberland Gold Jewelry. Our jeweler, Tim, is a GIA Certified Diamond Grader with decades of experience, providing detailed and accurate jewelry evaluations.
Each Appraisal includes a description of your jewelry, diamond characteristics, and precious metal weight, and an estimated replacement value for insurance purposes.

Appraisal Pricing
$55 plus tax for every 3 items per page.
Please leave your jewelry with us so we can thoroughly clean and examine each piece. This allows us to accurately evaluate its characteristics and prepare your appraisal.
We also offer verbal appraisals (not for insurance purposes) and can usually do on spot unless if there are more than a few items.
What to Expect
Jewelry and Watch Services
We change watch batteries on site while you wait for $8 for normal sized battery and $16 for bigger lithium batteries.
We also replace crystals, movements, stems, and more which we do not do while you wait since we do not carry all of these in stock, and prices vary depending on the watch.
Watch Repairs
Our gold resizing prices are a flat rate of $75 for downsizing and $85 for the first whole size up and an added $30 for each size after.
For our silver resizing our prices are a flat rate of $35 for downsizing and $45 for the first whole size up and an added $15 for each size after.
Ring Sizing
Whether your ring has a crack in it, want to get your wedding set welded together, or your chain has broken, we’ve got you covered! Each weld is $50.
Welding
We offer Platinum and 22k Gold Plating on silver and gold jewelry.
We sell a plating card which is $95 and you get three free dips or a one tip dip which is $75.

Custom Jewelry Pricing
Our custom pieces start at $250. Final pricing depends on the design, size, complexity, and materials needed. Customers are welcome to use their own gold, which will help with the overall cost. Since every piece is unique, we provide personalized pricing based on your design.

Ring Cleaning
At Cumberland Gold Jewelry, we offer complimentary jewelry cleaning to keep your favorite pieces sparkling! Most cleanings are completed while you wait, but pieces that need extra attention may be picked up later that day. During cleaning, we inspect your stones to ensure they are secure. If any stones need tightening, Tim will take care of them at no additional charge.
